Traffic and Road Safety Improvements on the A518 (Red House Roundabout)

• Telford & Wrekin Couoncil will shortly be carrying out signage installation works on the A518 at the Red House Roundabout.
• Works will be completed by Balfour Beatty and specialist sub-contractors Walker Signs & Quantum Traffic Management.

When is the work going to be delivered?

The work is due to take place on 26/08/2025 and be completed by 11/09/2025 (weekdays only) weather permitting. The works will be carried out under phased traffic management, please see below the phasing dates for these works:

• Lane closures, 26/08/2025-29/08/2025, 09:30-14:30
• Multi-way traffic lights, 01/09/2025-05/09/2025, 09:30-14:30
• Multi-way traffic lights, 08/09/2025-11/09/2025, 19:00-05:00

These works are being delivered as part of Telford & Wrekin Council’s investment programme to ‘Protect, Care and Invest to create a better borough’. Over the next four years, over £41m is being invested to keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well connected. The ‘Pride in our Community’ Highways Capital Programme will deliver improvements to infrastructure including roads, footpaths, sustainable transport, road safety, street furniture, drains and structures. Our highways vision is to ‘Keep Telford Moving’ and in 2025/2026 we will invest over £13m to deliver a number of improvement schemes across the borough.
