LPC has been asked to share the following message.

From Monday 27th April, Gladman will launch a public consultation on proposals for approximately 800 new high-quality market and affordable homes at its site off Humber Lane, to the north of Telford.

The plans

The proposed development will include a mix of high-quality new homes, in a range of styles and tenures. This would include family homes, affordable homes and accessible homes that are adaptable to the changing needs of residents.

The plans also include:

  • A local centre with a range of community amenities and a mobility hub
  • Land for a new primary school and nursery
  • Community open space, including allotments, community gardens and sports pitches
  • A range of Active Travel and connectivity features with green cycleways and footpaths
  • Extensive green infrastructure and significant biodiversity enhancements

The proposals form part of a wider Sustainable Community identified in the review of Telford & Wrekin’s Local Plan which could provide up to 2,700 new homes to meet local housing needs over the next 15 years, in line with government housing targets.

The consultation

Gladstone are launching a public consultation, including a drop-in session for local people in the main hall at Turreff Hall on Turreff Avenue in Donnington (TF2 8HG), on Monday 27th April 2026 between 3pm and 7pm.

You can also learn more and provide feedback via their dedicated consultation website www.humberlaneconsultation.co.uk which will be live from Monday 27th April. As part of the broader public consultation, there will also be a freephone number and a dedicated project email for local people to use.
